We created a free open-source mockup generator that exports pixel-perfect social previews. Thoughts?
After spending countless hours taking screenshots and manually editing them in Figma, we built a zero-login browser tool that creates high-res mockups for Reddit, Twitter, Instagram, and more. Feedback appreciated!

Generate High-Quality X/Twitter Post Previews
Social media professionals, marketers, authors, and journalists often need realistic visuals of tweets before they are published or as visual aids in presentations. Our X/Twitter Mockup Generator gives you a direct, browser-native canvas to compose authentic tweets with custom usernames, handles, blue checkmarks, media attachments, and engagement figures.
Unlike screenshot editors or generic design templates that require manual layer management in Figma or Photoshop, this tool automatically recalculates layouts, character boundaries, timestamps, and typography rules in real time. It is 100% free, requires no sign-up or authorization, and never transmits your data to remote servers.
Authentic X / Twitter Styling
Updated typography, spacing, verified badges, and metrics mirroring Twitter / X interface design standards.
Native Dark & Light Themes
Switch between light mode and authentic Dim/Dark themes with accurate contrast and color values.
Multiple Layout Templates
Pick from Standard Post, Full Image Post, Minimal Post, or Thought-Leader Quote templates with a single click.
Direct PNG Export
Generate high-DPI (2× or 3×) PNG graphics ready for pitch decks, blog posts, news stories, and client reviews.
How to Make a Realistic Tweet Mockup
Building your custom tweet takes less than a minute with these simple steps:
Choose a Template: Select between Standard, Image Post, Quote-style, or Minimal layout depending on whether your post emphasizes text, media, or quotes.
Add Author Details: Enter your author display name, handle (username), and optionally upload a profile picture. Toggle the verified badge checkmark on if needed.
Compose Post Content: Type your tweet text into the editor. The built-in counter tracks the 280-character limit, warning you if your copy runs over length.
Attach Media: Upload a photo or graphic to preview how images appear in the tweet container.
Configure Metrics & Theme: Fine-tune reply count, reposts, likes, bookmarks, and views. Toggle between light theme or dark mode for the exact aesthetic you need.
Export PNG: Click "Download" to generate a high-resolution PNG image with optional backdrop colors and soft drop shadows.
Frequently Asked Questions About Twitter Mockups
Select "X / Twitter" in the platform selector, fill in your display name, username, and post text. Optionally upload a profile photo and post image. Adjust metrics like likes, reposts, and views, then click Download to export as a PNG file.
Yes. In the Appearance section, click the "Dark" button under Mockup Theme. The card will switch to X's dark color palette instantly. The exported PNG will match what you see in the preview.
Yes. In the Appearance section, toggle "Engagement row" off to hide the metrics bar and action buttons. Toggle "Views count" separately if you want to keep metrics but hide views.
The verified badge uses the same blue checkmark styling as X's actual interface. Toggle it on or off using the "Verified badge" switch in the Profile section.
X/Twitter allows 280 characters for standard accounts. The editor shows a live character counter. The mockup accepts longer text for design purposes, but the counter turns red above 280 to indicate it exceeds the real platform's limit.
